white rabbit in flowers

Päästin valkoisen kanin ulos jaloittelemaan. Se pomppi innoissaan ympäriinsä pitkälle yli puolen päivän kunnes väsähti trampoliinin alle. Spock also showed up and was clearly happy that the dog was gone. He had a nasty wound on the side of his neck. Probably because of crabbing ticks off. I’ll have to give them both a shot of frontline in the weekend.

Rinnakkaistavoitteena on mahtua rintsikoihin joita käytin 7 vuotta sitten.

Ens viikon tiistaina on sit aika, iltapäivällä.

(toi pätkä englanniksi meni ihan vahingossa, huomasin vasta ku avasin sivun postauksen jälkeen)

Warmer weer

Thought I’d cook something different tonight. I never made pasta sauce with salmon before.

We saw helaasheid yesterday in studio skoop. It was bit of a hassle to find a parking at that hour but we managed to squeeze into a gap within walking distance. S was sitting on my left side and at the same time he managed to flash on the silver screen for a second or two. Someone or something smelled like cat pee in the cinema but i soon got used to it and didn’t smell anything anymore. With all the hype around the film since it’s release and even before there was no way it could possibly match with my expectations. So so.

After the movie we had perfect wok in de orchidee. I chose indian sauce.

The bell for playmobil school arrived this morning. My disrespect towards the Post of Belgium remains unchanged. We were about to leave to work when S heard a car. Sometime later at the gate he found a small package on top of the mailbox. It rains often in this country and all kinds of people live here. We already lost one package about a week and half ago – probably happened the same way but someone else got there first.

My library books are extremely late again.

My last twitter was 100 days ago.

My arm is still not ok.

Spock so happy sleeping tight

Has been a while since i’ve seen Spock as relaxed as this evening. It was raining outside so i burned some wood in the fireplace to make it cosy.

Before the sunset the sun came out again.

Green view

We live in the green.

Miry* & Spock

December 14th, 2008

They stayed almost all day in with each other although it was not even freezing outside. Yesterday was a cold day. Nicole called and passed through mémé’s advise that we should make a hole in the ice or the plastic bottom of the pond might break. The ice layer was one cm thick and the frog was a prisoner underneath. Not anymore.

Anthracite eierkolen heat up the room nice and steady.

Some x-mas decoration is spread around the house.

*we changed the spelling of her name few weeks ago.. sounds better if you see it that way ;)

Back from Puyenbroeck

August 8th, 2008

We’re back in the city and the sun is shining still! Tomorrow we’ll go back in time in Ursel.

After three nights at the camping it feels okay to be home again. Three days in the green filled with biking around the area (nature and farm animals), barbeque-cooking, swimming (inside and outside), playing mini-golf, riding mini-train, driving to new home (a surprise for Gk), looking for a place to eat in Eksaarde (and finding an idyllic restaurant in Moerbeke), sitting at the sunny terras with fresh drinks and an enthusiast camping-car couple from Antwerpen, renting go-cars for Geike and Laura, feeding leftovers of the plop burger from our tent-neighbor Dylan to a hungry hedgehog, staring at the starry sky from our green corner..

Back home we found the house stinking of cat shit – a problem that required urgent action. Luckily the cats kept it all inside the box so the cleaning up was fast done. It’s all right now.

Something new

July 23rd, 2008

S called me from shower tonight and we tried something new. His voice sounds so smooth on the phone, brings back memorieS. He’ll sleep one more night in a truck but it will drive away tomorrow so he needs another solution. Another than the bed in the room that was reserved for him. He says it’s too noisy in the house there.

One more night to sleep; work til noon and then holiday! My mother called and said after she packed in the suitcase all the things i listed to bring for me she can’t find any place for her clothes anymore. But actually it is she herself who’s been exaggerating with the amounts of all the stuff. For example, when i asked if she could bring me one or two half-liter bottles of Pommac she bought two one-and-half-liter bottles. And so on with the rest, so it’s only natural that sooner or later some space issues will arise.

Soft candy

Soft japanese candy

Not having to exit Gent on a regular weekday feels So Good. These japanese sweets feel like dry, organic jelly when touched. Mild taste but the texture added more to the flavor. Quite unordinary if compared to local candy. I wonder if they import these here..

It had snowed most of the night and i decided not to take the bike. Because of that it took me one hour to get there. Tram had to be replaced with a bus and i jumped in the right one with wrong destination first. Noticed almost immediately that we were heading for the opposite direction; the driver let me out and i crossed the street to catch my way.

Cats are starting to enjoy being outside. Miri stayed in the backyards for five hours today. She came in just when we were about to go upstairs and leave the door open. So we didn’t have to let the cold in.

Running tap

Running tap

Rain and wind today. Had to go to the supermarket to get food. Had to change “love cat” in the sandbox. Didn’t have to do the dishes but did. We had fish (roodbaars & geelvin tonijn), small pre-cooked potatoes á la delhaize and witloof – once again witloof. S brought the weekly bio-vegetables* home and surprise: some more witloof! Had to wash my hair (though i almost decided not to) and that was it. The evening was done.

Almost: we’re still awake in bed..

*there were also yellow carrots, spinach and a bush of claytonia perfoliat

Fixing the sound

November 4th, 2007

No.755508 Schaub Lorenz

S got the sound of red radio back & it’s much better than before but then it slipped away while we were eating whatever we had for dinner. Reason yet unknown.. more handy-man’s work required. [edit: the sound is back again]

In between, we got two new kittieS for Gk’s birthday. The below picture is a week ago when they were just brought in their new home.
