Survived at ease

August 1st, 2007

Three good things about today at work: it was not busy at all; i received twenty-two meal vouchers (worth six euros each) which i had “earned” during a payed holiday; i got to leave the place at three o’clock.

And it doesn’t matter if i now have a (fading) headache for the lack of morning sleep (i got pills for that) and my neck is stiff from having to sit in front of screens all day (i can do yoga for that) because it’s sunny and i’m at home with my dearest. He came home just in time – when i was eating pizza with champignons and fresh basilicum while reading today’s newspaper. I gave S the (almost) half of it (pizza) and now we’re both happily facing our leisure screens.

Naturally there had been a lot of changes at work during my absence. When it comes to staff members it’s constantly changing there.. this time one left, one got fired, some will leave, some are and will be re-positioned. So far none of those applies to me. Not that i know at least.

Wet Gee

Faces on Paris bridge

It started to rain in Paris so we decided not to stay another night. The money saved on that decision was spent in le ikea parisien: we drove home with two wooden cd-rekjes and couple of multimedia boxes. It rained all the way – and it’s wet here in Gent too.

Ziggy was happily surprised to see us back so soon.

All three of us in the same bed now.

Can you wake me?

Sky is making noiSe

June 25th, 2007

It thunders again. Bright flash! The weather is messed up. It’s all short attacks of heavy rain, hails and thunder in between serene breaks with sunshine.

We listened to the latest of white stripeS. It’s a vinyl with two lp’s of decent quality – just like elephant was. Mijn liefSte heeft het vorig zaterdag gekocht en ik denk dat ik nog de cd voor ons ga kopen. Now we’re both up here – in the middle level – horizontal. And there’s no music.

Lack of good sleep makes tired.

At work just before the misty rain begon.

Good news

April 23rd, 2007

Someone with good news had called me around the time i arrived in brussel noord for the second time today. Of course i didn’t hear my phone ringing and noticed the message only when i was leaving brussel zuid in another train. (Today i chose Oostende train because it’s got a better air-condition. It leaves only 3 minutes later than Poperinge train so it doesn’t make such a difference in time.) Ik heb haar pas in Gent teruggebeld.

Oh time.

I’m almost finished with the book.

How?

March 21st, 2007

Our matrass is soaked in cat pee. Bedroom stinks. We slept upstairs.

I’m still tired.. But the birds are singing and the sun is rising. A dark cloud that’s passing by is surrounded by light. I wish i could sleep again.

How can I go forward when I don’t know which way I’m facing?

“On bouge”

high 5

Playing human Pole Position was fun. We chose to be the pixels of a green car. It crashed just once with the yellow one.

At the end everybody was wearing white to form one big car that drove right and left and up. Not down.

Two lost, one found

January 11th, 2007

I’ve lost my bike key – the only one. My bike is locked outside, next to the window, but i can’t find the key anywhere. Maybe i dropped it on the street and it got blown away with the storm.

Ziggy was lost in the street(s) today. She hadn’t been home all day (food untouched) and we heard from a neighbour (the one who knows what’s happening) that he’d seen her out at our door around noon. Around eight in the evening she found her way back.

Ze is loops. Al weer.
